Growing businesses must use email markeitng "in the right way" to avoid their messages being regarded as spam.
Online marketing expert Dr Deepak Dutta has stated that while email is a low-cost solution that all businesses should use, it has to be used properly to be fully effective.
In an article for Best Syndication, he stated that businesses should begin their email marketing by sending messages to addresses in their existing contact list, before asking new customers if they would also be updates on the company.
He added that companies should avoid using a sales pitch within their first few messages.
"Explain them what you are up to and emphasis the benefits your business provides to ordinary folks," he explained.
"It should be informational with the emphasis on benefits. Keep it short because people don't have time to read long emails. Also, encourage them to spread the news to their contacts."
StrongMail's managing director Paul Bates recently urged businesses to ensure they put quality before quantity when using email marketing.

What Our Clients Say
"SnazzEmail has made email marketing a snap. It takes me about 30 minutes to prepare and send a campaign. My average campaign goes out to about 250 clients and I always sell at least 2 sales every month from the 2 email campaigns I do each month. That may not sound like a lot, but I'm a 1 man show and 2 sales a month really adds up for me. I highly recommend SnazzEmail to all contractors, it is worth your time and money!
